Jacob x Zwartbles Fleece Wool Rug – SOLD

£80.00

SOLD

Fleece Rug made from a sheared Zwartbles x Jacob sheep fleece. This is a fleece from the 2018 shearing and came from a small flock of sheep that live on a farm in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

This fleece rug is lovely and thick, soft and squishy. It has a Shetland wool felted backing and is 100% British wool.

This is a handmade rug, made using the wet felting process, using natural soap and a lot of physical work. The result is a rug that looks and feels natural. It will contain some small bits of grass, seeds etc as it is impossible to remove all vegetable matter, it may also shed a little wool, but these are the characteristics of a completely natural product.

Care Instructions
Rug can be brushed gently, with a cat brush, by holding the root of the locks while brishing the tips, this way you do not pull the root of the locks.

Can be washed very gently by soaking in very cool water with a wool wash preparation. Handle gently by supporting underneath, so as not to pull locks away from the backing. Do not wring, wrap in towel to get rid of excess water. Dry flat away from direct heat.
