Plaited into braids of eight bulbs.

Buy plaits of garlic bulbs. As the garlic bulbs are soft neck varieties, they can be plaited as the necks are pliable. The two varieties are Solent Wight and Maddock Wight.

  • Solent Wight Garlic
    Solent Wight Garlic is a soft neck culinary variety of garlic with exceptional flavour and good storage ability. It will last well for several months if hung in a dry, airy place. It was specifically cultivated for growing in the UK climate. Often sold in plaits as the soft neck is pliable.
  • Maddock Wight Garlic
    Maddock Wight Garlic is a soft neck culinary variety of garlic originating from Iberia. It has large cloves of medium strength and works really well in Mediterranean dishes.

The bulbs have now been dried naturally and trimmed, so they will store happily for a few months.
