Hebridean Vegetarian Sheepskin Rug
The Hebridean sheep is a small compact primitive breed of sheep. Their fleece can vary between black and brown tones and the beautiful long locks can be a contrasting light brown colour. The wool fleece is quite soft at the base, with the long locks being a bit coarser.
This particular fleece is the 2019 sheared fleece from a ewe who lives on a small holding near Market Bosworth. All of the sheep here are rare breeds that rely on this type of conservation work to ensure the future survival of the breeds.
This fleece has made a beautiful fleece rug, being dark at the roots and light at the tips of the long wavy locks. This rug has lots of character and shows off the natural beauty of this hardy little sheep.
Can be used as a rug or throw.
