Handspun Yarn – Silk / Mohair 2 ply 11wpi Artyarn

Two skeins of hanspun, handyed silk / mohair yarn, to be sold as a pair. A super soft yarn, with natural lustre that will add character and texture to any project. Both skeins were dyed in the same dye bath. Predominantly shades of green with rust highlights. This yarn was spun by myself on my Ashford spinning wheel.

This yarn is made up a a handspun single using locally sourced Mohair locks and a hanspun single of silk, spun from silk hankies. The finished yarn was then hand dyed. Dyeing after spinning makes for a soft relaxed yarn.

As this yarn is handspun, it does vary in thickness throughout, such is the character of handspun yarn and has pleanty of texture and curls from the mohair locks.
