Seat Rug / Pad Made from Sheep Fleece – Unknown Breed

The fleece that was used to make this rug came from the 2018 shearing from a local farm in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The flock of sheep is a small flock of 40 sheep, owned by a friend of mine. Each year the sheep have to be sheared to remove their heavy winter fleeces, or they would overheat in the summer.

This fleece is just off white in colour and is thick and fluffy. The locks are medium length and have a lovely wavy crimp.

The fleece seat rug has a felted backing, which is made from 100% British Shetland wool. Backing measures approx 52cm x 56cm.

Each seat rug is unique and is completely handmade using only 100% British wool.

Please note that this is a natural handmade product, made from an actual sheep fleece, it may still have some bits of grass / vegetable matter hiding in it!  It may shed a bit of wool. Each fleece is different, some shed more than others.
