Last weekend, we were in Braunston on NB East Hill, another historic part of the canal network. Braunston is a village next to the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire. The Grand Union Canal was constructed over 200 years ago to carry cargo by boat between Birmingham and London.

Braunston is a great place to go for a stroll along the canal bank, with plenty to see. Walk up alongside the lock flight to the tunnel, take a look at the old boat yards and marina. You can even have breakfast on a narrowboat at the Gongoozler’s Rest Cafe, which I can highly recommend.
We set up on Saturday afternoon, but it kept raining, so there weren’t many people around, but Sunday was sunny and the towpath was busy with walkers and boaters. We had a lovely day trading and sold lots of natural soap, shampoo and natural shaving bars.

We will definitely be back to trade again in Braunston, a lovely place to spend a weekend meeting new people and catching up with friends.
A big thank you to all our customers and I hope you enjoy the soap 🙂
