Seat Rug / Pad Made from Jacob Sheep Fleece

The fleece that was used to make this rug came from the 2018 shearing from a local farm in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The flock of sheep is a small flock of 40 sheep, owned by a friend of mine. Each year the sheep have to be sheared to remove their heavy winter fleeces, or they would overheat in the summer.

Jacob sheep are mainly brown and white, each having different markings. Their fleece is fairly soft with slightly wavy locks.

The fleece seat rug has a felted backing, which is made from 100% British Shetland wool. Backing measures approx 40cm x 50cm.

Each seat rug is unique and is completely handmade using only 100% British wool.

Please note that this is a natural handmade product, made from an actual sheep fleece, it may still have some bits of grass / vegetable matter hiding in it!  It may shed a bit of wool. Each fleece is different, some shed more than others.
