Small wool fleece rug made from Gotland lamb fleece. This fleece is from the summer 2018 shearing and has felted wool backing.
100% British wool, sourced from a small flock of pedigree Gotland sheep in Essex UK. Backing 100% handmade felt from Gotland fleece.
100% Handmade item.
These rugs look like sheep skin rugs, but they have no skin, as they are made from wool that has been clipped in the spring, so that the sheep don’t overheat in the summer.
A soft fleece with lots of tiny curls – mid gray colour.
Approx 75cm long x width varying from 65cm to 55cm.
Care Instructions
If necessary these rugs can be washed by gently soaking in hand warm water with a wool wash liquid. Do not wring. Squeeze excess water out by rolling gently in a towel. Dry flat away from direct heat.
