This rug is handmade from the 2019 fleece from a Masham ewe who lives in a rare breed flock near Rugby, Midlands, UK. The fleece is very thick and heavy, not the softest, but very warm and pretty.
“Vegetarian sheepskin rugs” are so called, because they look like a sheepskin rug, but are made from a sheared fleece from a sheep that has to be sheared each spring for welfare reasons, so that they don’t overheat in the summer. The rug is handmade using wet felting and needle felting.
This fleece would make a lovely rug or throw for your favourite armchair.

Care Instructions
This fleece could be washed if necessary, but great care needs to be taken to hand wash as any wool product in cool water. It is very heavy when wet and care is needed to lift and then dry flat away from direct heat.
